Accountability Small Group

Brian Horvath

Have You Considered a Small Group?

During your transition, have you ever said to yourself “I wish I had someone to talk to that understands what I’m going through?”  God designed us for community and the career transition process is a time when it is crucial not to try to go it alone.   A Small Group provides an opportunity to get connected with others in a similar season of life.

Purpose

To provide a structure and Facilitator for a small group of individuals to build relationships through shared experiences for support and accountability during their job search.  As stated in Proverbs 27:17, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

Meetings

The Group meets weekly for five weeks via Zoom.  The next Group begins Tuesday, February 6 at 7:00 – 8:00 EST with subsequent meetings at the same time on Tuesday February 13, 20, 27, and March 5.

Meeting Agenda

The general meeting structure is:

  • Member sharing (last week’s goals/successes/challenges, next week’s goals)
  • Group discussion on relevant topics such as interviewing, networking, etc.…
  • Support needed

Expectation of a Small Group Participant

Each participant is expected to attend all meetings and participate with other group members in a supportive, respective, and non-judgmental manner.
